Allow me to introduce myself…

Kristin & Todd Schuchmann

I am Kristin Schuchmann, the wife of the world’s greatest husband, Todd Schuchmann, the mother of four fantastic homeschooled children (one grown and three still at home), and the grandmother of one nearly perfect boy.

I lived in Virginia Beach, VA, my entire life until May of 2007 when our family moved to North Port, FL, to start a network of house churches affiliated with New Life Ministries International.

I am a Florida licensed Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) offering home birth services in Sarasota, Charlotte, and surrounding counties.  I travel as far north as the Tampa area and as far south as Naples for home deliveries.  For more information about the preconception, pregnancy, & postpartum care I offer in my community, visit the LifeSong Midwifery website.

In addition to being a Midwife and also serving expectant families as Childbirth Educator and Doula for over 20 years, I am the Executive Director of Charis Childbirth, an international school for midwives, childbirth educators, doulas, & lactation counselors.

I thoroughly enjoy coaching, consulting, teaching, and motivational and pro-life speaking.

It brings me great pleasure to see people enjoying happy, healthy, fulfilling, abundant life.  My hope is that this blog will be a place you can go to be encouraged in your physical and spiritual growth and health.

Your feedback is valuable to me… so let me know what you think!

Blessings,
Kristin Schuchmann

I feel so blessed that my daughter can hang out with your children! Thanks for being such a great influence and for educating people on the best for their health (from a nurse who sees so much illness that could be avoided!) Praying for you and your endeavors!

I just found your blog. Me and my husband are wanting to move to North Port Fl one day and I was looking around to see if there were any raw food restaraunts and I found you. Now I am looking at the housing. Is it a good place to live? Are you happy there? DeeDee

      DeeDee,
Feel free to e-mail me at Kristin@CharisChildbirth.org and I will send you my telephone number. I would LOVE to tell you all about North Port and what we love about it. It is a great time to buy a house here because the prices are literally half of what they were 7 years ago. I can tell you what areas are best, etc.
      Blessings,
      Kristin

Just stopping by to say I think you are an amazing example of God’s life within. You live a life of abundance and I am grateful for the input you made into my childbearing years. May the Lord continue to give you increase in all that you put your hand to. Enjoyed looking through your blog….and plan on returning! Your friend, Lily
